Alfred Interventional Radiology (IR) provides care through a range of clinical conditions and patient acuity, including ward rounds, admitting rights and an IR outpatient clinic.
Alfred Health is looking for an Interventional Radiologist to join the team. Applications are invited for the position of 0.5 Full-Time Equivalent (2 days per week, 9.5 hours per day) Staff Specialist in Interventional Radiology to begin in August 2024. The position would include participation in an on-call roster.
Locum opportunities will also be considered.
Appointees must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, and hold fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR). Appointees must be able to treat patients in the scope of interventional radiology as per the RANZCR standards of practice for interventional radiology version 1.0. Applicants would be preferred if they hold a certification of advanced training such as the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR), or equivalent. Alternatively, a commitment to undertake EBIR in the first three years of employment.
Applicants must meet Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Interventional Radiology. The successful applicant will be required to provide excellent clinical expertise in interventional radiology, to support Alfred Health's teaching, research and clinical governance programs, and to support the strategic priorities and values of Alfred Health.
