$62,693.39 - $67,733.56 per annum

The Department

The Nursing Services Division incorporates the provision of professional nursing support to Nurses working across Alfred Health with direct governance of nursing education, research, workforce management, quality and safety and clinical practice development.  The program also provided executive leadership and governance to Allied Health and Non-clinical Support Services. 

 

The Position Summary

This position will provide administrative and secretarial support to the office of the Director of Nursing – Strategic Workforce Planning. The position functions as a key member of a cohesive, professional support team, working collaboratively with other team members of the Nursing Services Directorate. You will manage the office of the Director of Nursing – Strategic Workforce Planning and the broader workforce team as required. This will involve dealing with issues on behalf of Director as appropriate, determining and maintaining office procedures and systems including record management and correspondence tracking systems, and providing direct advice to staff on office procedures. Additionally, you will provide effective, efficient and timely administrative support, including arranging meetings, taking and typing minutes, scheduling appointments, undertaking conference and travel arrangements, screening telephone calls, providing an initial point of contact for inquiries, managing the diary for the Director and providing advice to stakeholders as appropriate.

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven ability in a similar environment where highly developed organisational skills are required as well as proficiency in a wide range of administrative support skills.
  • Hold a Certificate IV or an equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training and experience
  • You will have extensive experience providing administrative and executive support at a senior level and in line with PD requirements.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams and PowerPoint (as well as relevant Adobe applications).
  • Knowledge of healthcare environments is preferred, but not essential.
