About us
Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services, which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne. The single most important goal of Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will lead the Implementation of changes associated with the MH Act and assist our service to transition to the new Act and champion the Act and the values underpinning it.
In addition, attendance and participation in the regular Implementation Forums to be convened by the Sector Implementation Team in the Department of Health is required.
About you
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a clinical discipline
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a public mental health service
- An established understanding of mental health services and Mental Health Act/legislation
- Project management experience (desirable)
- Experience in co-design inclusive of consumer, carer and staff engagement (desirable)
- Knowledge of government policy and policy directions (desirable)
