A great opportunity for an experienced Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our casual team at Sandringham Hospital. 

This position provides great flexibility of hours for those: returning from parental leave, working around school hours, and anyone seeking flexible working opportunities. 

 

  • Casual weekday hours
  • Areas of work primarily in pelvic health, antenatal care, musculoskeletal outpatients with potential opportunity to work on the inpatient wards for a suitably qualified candidate

The Department

Alfred Health’s Physiotherapy Department provides acute physiotherapy services to the patients of The Alfred and Sandringham Hospital and subacute physiotherapy services to Caulfield Hospital.  

The acute physiotherapy service is organised into five functional streams, namely: Intensive Care, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, PAN (Progressive Illness, Aged Care and Neurosciences), and Sandringham.  The first four streams are located at The Alfred site, with the fifth and latter streams based at the Sandringham site. 

The Physiotherapy Service at Caulfield Hospital is organised into five functional streams, namely: Musculoskeletal, Neuro/Spinal Rehab, Health of Older Person (HOP) and Acquired Brain Injury. The Physiotherapy service includes to inpatients on site, amputee outpatients, pulmonary rehab and 'Better at Home' (inpatient bed substitution program in patients' own homes).

 

The Role

The Grade 2 Casual Physiotherapist is responsible for the ongoing development and provision of physiotherapy services to the designated clinical areas at the level of a developing expert. The areas of work will be primarily in pelvic health, antenatal care, and musculoskeletal outpatients with potential opportunity to work on the inpatient wards for a suitably qualified candidate.

 

The Physiotherapist (Casual) has an important role in contributing to the development of individuals on weekdays +/- weekends, the clinical team and the physiotherapy service through good leadership, teamwork and communication.

 

Skills/Qualifications Required 

  • Physiotherapists registered to practice in the state of Victoria (via AHPRA)
  • Grade 2 Physiotherapist
  • Experience in providing care to patients in the outpatients musculoskeletal and/or pelvic health setting
