Senior Education and Quality Manager
Part-time - 64 hours per fortnight

In 2019, Alfred health secured 24.6 Mill federal funding to establish a Trial Hub and Directorate to support the oversight and development of clinical trials at The Alfred and at partner sites. Core functions include developing and promoting relationships with industry, investigators, partner sites, funding bodies and research organisations to support access to clinical trials for rural, remote, indigenous and disadvantaged Australians, boosting participation in clinical trials and maximising the rate of trial accrual.
The Senior Education and Quality Manager role will have responsibility for the scoping of a program to develop the workforces in clinical trials and then move into the phase of implementing monitoring and evaluating these educational initiatives for Trial Hub. This will include working with Partner organisations to develop and oversee trial related education and training needs within Alfred Health and external stakeholders across the Trial Hub sites to ensure consistent implementation of initiatives in support of safe conduct of clinical trials Trial Hub. The successful applicant will need to also possess a good understanding of the requirements for the safe conduct of clinical trials in accordance with national and international guidelines
A key undertaking will be working with executive teams in our partner organisations to develop and implement a quality assurance program that underpins this education & training, to support a culture of quality and compliance in the conduct of clinical trials
Previous experience in Clinical Trial Management with a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience
Knowledge of the regulatory environment that governs Clinical Trial research in Victoria and Australia, including ICH GCP, TGA, and state regulations, and FDA and EMA variants
Completion of higher degree in either nursing, allied health, pharmacy, science, project management, education or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Experience in e-learning educational content development, moderation and facilitation
Experience in QA activities
Demonstrated excellent team working skills with ability to work using own initiative
Understanding of key concepts relating to clinical oncology
Experience in conducting systematic literature searches and reviewing information to inform relevant projects
Experience in designing and developing learning resources and activities for flipped classroom learning, blended and online teaching
Familiarity with established and developing educational software including Moodle, Google Apps for Education, H5P, e-Assessment, Turnitin, EQUELLA and audience response systems
