About the Clinical Genetics and Genomics Service
The Clinical Genetics and Genomics service at Bayside Health is a diagnostic and predictive health service that provides genetic counselling for adults with suspected or known inherited genetic condition/s.
The Role
The role of the Clinical Intake Assistant is to perform a range of tasks to support and assist in the preparation of patients for clinic and in the day-to-day function of the service and clinics.

Skills and Experience Required
- Patient focused, compassionate attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Understanding of confidentiality and privacy legislation
- Working knowledge and experience in electronic patient management systems e.g. Cerner Programs, Trakgene
- Previous telephone experience
- Previous exposure or experience working within a Clinical Genetics Service or current student of a Genetic Counselling
