Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS) is friendly to infants, children, young people and their families/carers.
We provide accessible mental health services inclusive of family, friends and support networks.
We are a specialist, multi-disciplinary and intensive care mental health service incorporating the lived and living experience of family peer specialists and youth peer workers.
Our service is divided into two streams: 0-11 and 12-26 years, and includes specialist services in the areas of perinatal care, neurodevelopmental presentations, eating disorders and outreach support.

What you'll be doing
ICYAMHWS has received 3 years funding to establish an in-home intensive early engagement and treatment program for eating disorders. The program will include an early engagement/step in response, a step up in treatment response for young consumers who are not responding to lower intensity community treatment and a step-down response from acute treatment settings. The In home and early engagement and treatment program component will encompass home based outreach care and work within extended hours to provide meal support coaching during family meals along with other therapeutic and psychosocial support.
The Team Leader of the Eating Disorders Team will lead and co-ordinate the ICYAMHWS Eating Disorder program and is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the In-home Intensive Eating Disorder Early Engagement and Treatment Program.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised person to lead the newly funded Eating Disorders Program team.
Along with the relevant professional registration or membership, you’ll have a minimum of ten years post graduate clinical experience, experience in dialogical practice, and the ability to lead the development of a new initiative and integrate this within the service
You'll also have to complete/provide a valid Victorian Working with Children Check, be willing to undergo a background check, and you'll require Australian working rights.
