The Department
The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre (ANZIC-RC) is a major clinical research methods centre for Intensive Care in Australia and New Zealand based in the Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at the Alfred Hospital campus. The centre is involved in the establishment of comprehensive research programs comprising surveys and pilot studies through to large multicentre clinical trials. The Role
The Project Officer (Intermediate) provides a range of high quality administrative and project coordination services to support the end-to-end delivery of projects at The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre. The Project Officer (Intermediate) would work directly with Prof Carol Hodgon and would support a number of projects led by her. These projects include (but not limited to) EXCEL, TEAM, COVID Recovery, CRE-ICU and COVID Recovery. The Project Officer (Intermediate) also works closely with the chief investigators, project partners and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of these projects. The position assists several project managers in the Recovery Program by developing project documentation, updates and reports and undertakes a variety of administrative duties to support project objectives.
The Project Officer (Intermediate) operates with excellence and expertise in process and judgement to provide sound and timely advice and support to project staff and other stakeholders
Skills
The appointee will have:
- An undergraduate degree qualification in a health-related or economic-related field; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training, and experience working in a health service and/or health policy setting
- Excellent administration and project coordination skills with the ability to support projects through to completion in accordance with agreed standards and timeframes
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
Knowledge and Skills
Familiarity with and experience with health policy, using health medical records and experience in data collection, analysis and evidence synthesis in a health setting.
