The Department

The Revenue Optimisation Data Analyst is a key operational role responsible and accountable for assisting the Senior Manager Revenue and Projects and help deliver major organisational projects efficiently using best practice project management methodologies. This position supports both the Finance Department and wider Alfred Health departments.  

This role is responsible for the coordination and contribution to a range of activities in support of projects including the optimal delivery of quality solutions and clearly defined business processes, whilst also monitoring and tracking project deliverables and outcomes.
The Role

  • The Revenue Optimisation Data Analyst is responsible to support the Project Manager with all project related work, including implementation and establishment of new services
  • Responsible for providing business acumen and expertise in project work implementation, reporting, financial support and administration 
  • Work with the project team(s) to drive outcomes for design workshops, which are in line with business requirements and needs, whilst delivering an optimal solution, leveraging best practice, to configure agreed solutions. 
  • Meet project deadlines, track deliverables and timing of project activities, whilst supporting a number of projects/or project streams in a pressured, large-volume work environment
  • Oversight of reporting and other project documentation development (internal and external), producing relevant project artefacts.
  • Identify issues that may hinder completion of tasks, escalate any possible variance from project outcomes, cost or time frames, in a timely manner and find appropriate solutions. 

Skills  
•    Broad project management knowledge and experience
•    Strong ICT background with the ability to understand new technologies and processes. 
•    Ability to conduct high-level analysis and effective/meaningful communication of financial systems, reports and data.
•    Ability to think through challenging problems and determine and implement subsequent solutions.
•    Attention to detail and strong organizational skills 
•    Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills, including strong written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
•    Demonstrated commercial / finance acumen and business understanding. 
•    Highly developed professionalism and personal motivation.
•    Ability to meet deadlines by being proactive, adopting a 'can-do' approach, driving work plans, identifying and addressing issues and taking responsibility for actions.
