The Revenue Optimisation Project Officer is a key operational role responsible and accountable for assisting the Senior Manager Revenue and Projects and help deliver major organisational projects efficiently using best practice project management methodologies. This position supports both the Finance Department and wider Alfred Health departments.  This role is responsible for the coordination and contribution to a range of activities in support of projects including understanding the business needs and employs a project-based approach to problem solving and decision making for business improvement delivery as well as financial analysis as required. 
This role is responsible for the coordination and contribution to a range of activities in support of projects including the development and implementation of project plans, policies and solutions as well as financial analysis as required. The Revenue Optimisation Project Officer will work collaboratively to contribute to issue resolution and escalation, research and analysis activities and planning and monitoring activities.
The Role

  • The Revenue Optimisation Project Officer is responsible to support the Project Manager with all project related work, including implementation, testing and establishment of new services
  • Meet project deadlines, track deliverables and timing of project activities, whilst supporting a number of projects/or project streams in a pressured, large-volume work environment
  • Oversight of reporting and other project documentation development (internal and external), producing relevant project artefacts.
  • Track team deliverables and timing of project activities, stakeholder engagement and communications
  • Identify issues that may hinder completion of tasks, escalate any possible variance from project outcomes, cost or timeframes, in a timely manner and find appropriate solutions. 

Skills  

  • Strong understanding project management methodologies and processes.
  • Strong ICT background with the ability to understand new technologies and processes. 
  • Experience with Finance systems implementations, including Testing, Training and Change Management. 
  • Experience in conducting high-level analysis and effective/meaningful communication of financial systems, reports and data.
  • Ability to think through challenging problems and determine and implement subsequent solutions.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills and being able to manage the project's details effectively 
  • Ability to cooperate effectively within a team and work collaboratively across different Programs to achieve work plan and goals.
  • Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills, including strong written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
  • Prior experience in providing high quality work across a broad range of administrative, finance analysis, quality control and assurance support to management
  • Ability to meet deadlines by being proactive, adopting a 'can-do' approach, driving work plans, identifying and addressing issues and taking responsibility for actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and maintain progress in multiple activities running concurrently.
