DEPARTMENT Alfred Health has one of the largest digital footprints in a health service in Australia. As a result of further investment in our Clinical Information Systems three new leadership roles have been developed. These Team Leader roles will play a critical role in the further development of Alfred Health’s electronic medical record and reflect Alfred Health’s continued investment in digital health care. You will be joining a team that has been on the forefront of developments in clinical information systems over the past 20 years and is the first Cerner site outside of the US to deploy their mobile applications.
POSITION SUMMARY The appointee will be a key member of Alfred Health’s EMR leadership team with responsibility for leading and managing a team of business analysts, clinical information systems technical experts and application support and development staff. Professional development of team members, knowledge sharing and a strong commitment to working closely with the business to maintain, support and enhance core applications managed by the team will be a major focus of this role. This will require the appointee to support and lead the team in providing a service that aligns with the organisations strategic direction and maintains a high standard of work. Working closely with the testing manager and release coordinator the appointee will manage the evaluation, development and installation of innovative and sustainable workflows and applications that will enhance patient care. The position will take responsibility for the monitoring of workloads and supervision of team members, and will promote and maintain high levels of customer service and satisfaction in the delivery and support of EMR applications.
University degree (equivalent) or higher qualification and extensive experience of working with clinical information systems is essential. .
A background in Health care and its delivery is essential. Ideally the successful candidate will be working in health care currently
