The Project
Alfred Health is delivering a series of access and flow initiatives under the Emergency, Virtual Care & Outpatient (EVO) Program, aligned with statewide priorities including Timely Emergency Care 2 (TEC2) and Standards for Safe and Timely Ambulance and Emergency Care for Victorians.
These initiatives aim to:
- Strengthen emergency access
- Reduce avoidable delays in patient flow
- Enhance hospital-wide coordination through improved digital visibility and process redesign
The Role
The Project Officer will support priority initiatives under TEC2 and Ambulance Victoria Standards Projects, while gaining exposure to the development of Alfred Health ORA to align improvements in patient flow and operational visibility across Alfred, Caulfield, and Sandringham campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver access and flow improvement activities
- Map and monitor current-state workflows (emergency access, ambulance offload, inpatient flow)
- Support project deliverables for TEC2, AV Standards, and ORA Projects
- Prepare reports, presentations, and implementation tools
- Engage with multidisciplinary stakeholders to identify barriers and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate pilot testing and implementation
