THE DEPARTMENT

We are seeking Registered Nurses who are looking for an opportunity to work within one of the most dynamic state service providers in Alfred Health. You will have the support of an experienced Nurse Manager and leadership team, in a team environment that fosters collaboration, communication and interaction.

As a nurse within Ward 6 West, you will work in a dynamic, acute surgical ward that cares for a variety of patients with complex surgical needs. It is comprised of the Victorian Adult Burn Service, Plastics and Reconstructive surgery and Ear Nose & Throat surgery. As a part of our team, you will come across many opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge across a diverse range of surgical specialities - with a special focus on complex wound management and the management of patients with artificial airways.

THE ROLE

As a nurse with Ward 6 West, you will work in a dynamic, acute surgical ward that cares for a variety of patients with complex surgical needs. It is comprised of the Victorian Adult Burn Service, Plastics and Reconstructive surgery, and Ear Nose & Throat surgery. As a part of our team, you will come across many opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge across a diverse range of surgical specialities - with a special focus on complex wound management and the management of patients with artificial airways.

As a nurse on 6 West, you will be joining a supportive team that has a strong focus on teamwork and prides itself on providing patient centred care. 

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE - 

  • Current and Unrestricted Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
