The Department

The Medical Workforce Unit manages the administrative aspects of medical staff appointments including recruitment, rostering, time and attendance, leave management, rotation allocation, orientation and off-boarding. 

The Role

We are currently seeking a Rosters and Operations Specialist to be part of the Medical Workforce team here at Alfred Health.  This is an ongoing position within our team and requires someone with high attention to detail and a positive attitude towards hard work.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Medical Workforce, you will proactively engage with Medical, Surgical and Critical Care units to better facilitate the day to day rostering and operations of each unit within Alfred Health.

To succeed in this role, you must have the following skills and attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Proven rostering and logistics experience with the ability to troubleshoot when necessary
  • Experience in preparing and uploading rosters on different platforms
  • Experience with using electronic rostering and time and attendance systems
  • Ability to use Excel at an advanced level
  • Be able to work autonomously and work as a team player
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills
  • Pragmatic and confident in liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • High degree of attention to detail and professionalism with the ability to analyse and problem solve
