Department Summary
Monash Partners Academic Health Science Centre is a collaborative network of health services, research institutions, and universities focused on improving health outcomes through research translation, innovation and capacity building. Accredited in 2015, Monash Partners supports care for over 3 million Australians and plays a key role in the national research ecosystem. It also offers programs like Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training across its partner network to promote high standards in clinical research.

Position Summary
The Administrative Officer (0.2 EFT, 12-month tenure) provides essential support to the day-to-day operations of Monash Partners, particularly in administering the Good Clinical Practice in Research Training Program. This role involves liaising with researchers, coordinating workshop logistics, maintaining records, managing event communications, and supporting committee activities. The Administrative Officer plays a vital part in ensuring smooth coordination of training and event logistics and supports internal communication and documentation across the organisation.

Experience and Qualifications Required
Essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative role involving a broad range of tasks and database support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High-level organisational and time management skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially in Word and Excel, with ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a hospital or medical environment
