About the Role

We are seeking a new Deputy Occupational Therapy Manager (Grade 4) to join us in a permanent, full-time capacity. In the role, you will be an integral member of our leadership team; joining our Manager, Operations Lead, Professor of Research, and a multitude of established and emerging clinicians to advance our profession and the care we provide. This position will include responsibilities across all Alfred Health sites – The Alfred, Caulfield Hospital and Sandringham Hospital, and provide a strong voice for Occupational Therapy within our dynamic and progressive Allied Health directorate.

You will work collaboratively with our Occupational Therapy Manager and will provide operational and strategic support to a workforce of over 80EFT. You will ensure the provision of high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services that align with the vision of both the Alfred Health, and our Allied Health Strategic Plans. You will also provide Allied Health leadership within a designated clinical program at Alfred Health, enabling you to work collaboratively with professionals from across our Allied Health directorate to optimise the care we provide as a collective.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA Registration
  • Post-graduate clinical qualifications or health services management/administration / business management at a Masters level or Higher.
  • Experience in the delivery of an Occupational Therapy service in a hospital environment.
  • Well-established leadership skills.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • Demonstrated health system-wide knowledge and ability to respond to changing needs of Allied Health services.
