The Department

The Sleep Scientific service is par t of the Department of Respiratory Medicine, one of the largest in the state.  Highly specialised services are provided.  There is a strong focus on best practice and research. 

The Role

This is a relatively autonomous role with supervision and support of senior Sleep Scientists / Physiologists.  The main focus of the role is to set up equipment and patients for home monitoring – Home PSG’s, Home Oximetry and Home APAP trials.  Also to assist with other activities of the laboratory, for example, actigraphy recordings from patients in the two weeks prior to daytime vigilance / somnolence testing. 

Experience and Qualifications Required

• An appropriate science degree is necessary. This can include being a qualified nurse to RN level.
• You will preferably have experience as a Sleep Scientist/Physiologist
• You will be highly organised, flexible and work well in a team environment. 
• You will pay attention to detail and be keen to develop professionally.
