DEPARTMENT:
Melbourne Sexual Health Centre is located at 580 Swanston Street in Carlton and provides state-wide services for sexual health and HIV clinical services.
POSITION:
The Enrolled Nurse is an integral member of the nursing team at MSHC who provides high-standard care to our clients. As an Enrolled Nurse with MSHC you will be required to provide a variety of clinical services to our clients, including venepuncture and administering intramuscular injections. The Enrolled Nurse also works as the sexual health clinic support nurse supporting the multidisciplinary team of nursing and medical staff as well as pharmacy and laboratory staff. You will be expected to interact sensitively and non-judgementally with our diverse client group including CALD and LGBTIQ and your fellow colleagues. This role will suit a highly motivated Enrolled Nurse who will embrace an extend scope of practice in a friendly and supportive team.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Enrolled Nursing qualification, including medication endorsement
- Registered as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Demonstrates the appropriate competencies and skills as per the relevant Enrolled Nurse classification
- Demonstrates relevant clinical experience particularly venepuncture and IM injections
