The Department

The Caulfield Community Health Service (CCHS) provides a range of clinical and health promotion services for people of all ages who live, work or study within the local community. These multi-disciplinary services are provided in the centre, community, home or via Telehealth.  CCHS operates from the Caulfield Hospital site.

Position Summary

The Podiatry position will sit within the multi-disciplinary Adult Health Team – Population Health and you will:

  • Provide high quality clinical services for people in the local community living at home
  • Complete comprehensive podiatry assessments and interventions, which are provided within a client’s home, the CCHS clinic, and the Chronic Wound Clinic
    • which may include: initial and annual foot assessment, routine skin and nail care, wound management, nail surgery, biomechanical assessment, prescription and/or manufacture of orthotics
  • Develop and implement person centred care plans
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to client care
  • Liaise with relevant agencies to coordinate, facilitate and communicate client treatment and outcomes (this could include Chronic Would Clinic, High Risk Foot Clinic, GPs)
  • Plan and manage own workload (80% clinical) to ensure adequate time for the achievement of primary objectives of the position 

 Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Degree in Podiatry
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and adherence to continuing profressional development requirements
  • Demonstrated podiatry clinical experience relevant to the community health sector
  • Current Victorian drivers licence
