About us
Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services, which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.
The single most important goal of Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process.
The team - South City Clinic
We are a small multidisciplinary team including Addiction Medicine Specialists and Psychiatrists, an AOD GP, AOD clinicians and a Dual Diagnosis Nurse Practitioner, with additional clinical support from Alfred Mental & Addiction Health.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will perform assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions for consumers with substance use and other issues, their families, carers and supporters, and healthcare providers. You will also work collaboratively with other Alfred Mental & Addiction Health programs to provide integrated treatment, care and support for AMAH consumers.
Your skills and experience
- Diploma of Alcohol & other Drugs, or equivalent AOD qualification
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with complexity in an AOD setting
- Applications from suitably qualified people with lived experience of substance use disorders, treatment and recovery will be highly regarded
