Whilst our initial closing date has passed (8 August), trainees are invited to submit an application up to 22 September 2023 to be considered for any remaining vacancies in the SE Collaborative program.  Please contact any of our collaborative contacts for more information.

The South East Collaborative for Advanced Training In General and Acute Care Medicine

The South East Collaborative is a regional network of health services that acts as a singular conjoint recruiting body for NEW trainees entering into GACM advanced training in 2024. The GACM SE Collaborative comprises Alfred Health, Monash Health, Eastern Health, Peninsula Health and other hospitals affiliated with these health services. Candidates who are successfully recruited to the SE Collaborative (as an employee at one of the aforementioned health services) can expect to have a 36-month training program that gives you access to a variety of rotations in accredited roles across the collaborative with the core aim of delivering a diverse and balanced mix of learning experience that sets up your consultant career and fulfils RACP AT requirements.

Other benefits of applying to work in the SE Collaborative include guaranteed exposure to multiple future employers before you become a consultant physician, opportunity to access a broad range of educational resources across myriad health services from beginning to end, a wide selection of training rotations to match your career interests, and seamless transition from one registrar year to the next. Please contact any of the following key leaders and/or refer to the on-line application pages for each health service if you would like more information.

Regional Training

We collaborate with regional training partners and will be offering regional rotations matched with some of highly popular rotations.  Trainees on rotation to the regional sites participate in our virtual weekly training program on Tuesday afternoons and can access all the supervisor, research and other supports the program offers.
