The Department

The Alfred Health Nutrition Department offers nutrition services across The Alfred, Caulfield Hospital and Sandringham Hospital campuses, providing a full range of clinical services.  The Nutrition Department is comprised of 46 EFT and approximately 65 people and is organised into clinical streams. The Nutrition Department has had a long and valued relationship within the Alfred, with the first dietitian being employed in 1930. The department has a proud history of clinical and academic excellence and has innovative staff development programs to support ongoing professional development. The Nutrition Department supports collective leadership: ‘working collaboratively towards a common vision by enabling every team member to contribute within an inclusive culture that promotes accountability and trust’.

 

The Role

Alfred Health Nutrition is seeking a Grade 1 Dietitian to join a busy clinical department.

The Alfred Nutrition Department offers nutrition services across Alfred, Caulfield and Sandringham Hospitals campuses, providing a full range of clinical nutrition services. The department has innovative nutrition education and quality assurance programs. Clinical workload will include rotations across all Alfred Health sites. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Skills in the assessment and nutritional management of patients
  • Experience in enteral nutrition management
  • Excellent communication skills, proficiency in nutrition education and basic computer skills.
  • Eligibility for membership of DAA and APD credentialed
