Alfred Health Allied Health Services comprises a number of allied health disciplines that provide patient-centred care across all clinical programs that operate at Alfred Health. Allied health professions provide patient-centred care that aims to optimise physical, psychosocial, communication and cognitive functioning. To ensure that the allied health workforce is fit for purpose, there is a robust governance structure that provides oversight of staff & student education, research, workforce innovation and quality & safety.
The Allied Health Professional Practice Framework underpins the work of Allied Health at Alfred Health in contributing to Alfred Health’s purpose.
This role is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced allied health professional to contribute to/and provide operational leadership across the continuum of care for the allied health team.
The role is full-time (or a minimum of 0.8EFT) and reports to the Chief Allied Health Officer/ Director of Allied Health. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with others and the Director of Allied Health to provide professional governance and operational leadership for allied health teams across Alfred Health. The successful incumbent will provide professional leadership across one or more of the professional practice pillars and operational support to the clinical programs across the continuum of care. Clinical programs include; Home, Acute & Community, Intensive Care & Emergency Department, Surgery, Alfred Brain, Cancer Services, Heart and Lung and Specialty Medicine programs.
This role will attract senior allied health staff interested in a career pathway in leadership and management.
- Post Graduate Qualifications – Masters level in relevant field (desirable).
- Eligibility for registration or membership of the relevant professional body
- Demonstrated understanding of organisational change concepts and practices
- Demonstrated experience in management and leadership across multiple Allied Health disciplines
- Significant experience in an inter-disciplinary model of allied health in a hospital or health service delivery capacity
