Applications are open for a position as a fractional psychiatrist 12 hours per week, within the Psychological Trauma Service (PTS) at Alfred Health.
The PTS will incorporate the Personality Disorders and DBT services, as well as any expansion related to recommendation 23 of the final report of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System, including the funding of specialist trauma practitioners in area mental health services. The psychiatrist will supervise a 0.5 FTE registrar position and will form part of a team delivering therapeutic services to clients, and consultation services to AMAH teams in the context of personality and trauma- related mental health presentations, and the delivery of trauma-informed care more broadly.
Applicants must be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, a Fellow of the relevant college. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Psychiatry is required as well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Psychiatry.
