The Department

The Planning and Partnerships team provide consultancy, guidance and project management for all service planning, health system design projects and corporate social responsibility portfolios:

  • Organisation-wide service planning e.g., Alfred Health Service Plan, 2017
  • Program, unit or functional area service planning
  • Assist in identifying long term strategic directions for a clinical service, program or disease/patient group
  • Determine role delineation and capability of clinical services
  • Development of strategy and operational plans to achieve strategic goals
  • Development of functional models to inform operational structures and systems
  • Business Planning linking clinical and corporate functions (cross organisation connection)
  • Development of business cases, service plans and operational plans that may inform facility/capital requirements
  • Project Management of organisation-wide projects, including corporate, operational and capital projects
  • Corporate Social responsibility portfolios of Population Health and Environmental Sustainability
  • Partnerships across the health system to facilitate high quality, patient centred care

The Role

To provide a range of administrative and project support functions to staff of the Planning & Partnerships Team across all sites of Alfred Health in order to contribute to the provision of quality services. Functions include reception, diary management, travel management, record administration, data entry and analysis, production and management of reports, design and development of communication/marketing material and resources, event and workshop coordination, and project support. 

Skills 

  • Project management/support (design and development of project plans and briefs, coordinate project schedules, etc.)
  • Experience in providing administrative support to Directors/teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and associated applications (Teams, SharePoint, Forms)
  • Report development and preparation
  • Proficiency in implementing sound processes for managing files and key documents, as well as tracking key tasks and deliverables
