DEPARTMENT:

Alfred Health recognises the clinical and strategic importance of research and clinical trials through its strategic goal of leading excellent, innovative and collaborative health research.  Clinical research is central to patient care at The Alfred, where leading practitioners who

POSITION:

A newly created position for an Evaluation Manager is required to plan, monitor, evaluate, the Trial Hub pilot program. This includes developing, updating and coordinating monitoring and evaluating projects and initiatives and, building the capacity of Trial Hub staff, satellite site members. The position will ensure systems and reporting metrics comply with agreed Commonwealth reporting requirements   

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline (preferably in Social Science, Economics, or Statistics), Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of Monitoring and Evaluation –
  • Knowledge of major quantitative & qualitative monitoring methodologies and proven ability to design monitoring instrumentation tools in a health or social sector context.  
  • Extensive knowledge in (quasi-) experimental program evaluation designs
  • Knowledge of the clinical trials regulatory environment
  • Demonstrated experience in managing collaborative relationships with a diversity of stakeholders –consumer representatives, trial Coordinators, clinicians and researchers, Research and Governance office staff.
