The National Gynae-Oncology Registry (NGOR) is a clinical quality registry designed to collect and analyse key clinical information about women with new primary gynaecological cancers in order to report on quality of care and patient outcomes. The NGOR has four modules, each based around a different tumour location. The first module, the ovarian cancer module, has been operational since late 2017.
The NGOR team was awarded a Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) grant earlier this year to support the expansion of the ovarian cancer module. A key component of the MRFF supported project, referred to as the Ovarian Cancer Registry (OvCR), involves the collection of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) data. This aspect of the project will primarily be overseen by a Reference Group, the Chair of which is grant co-investigator A/Professor Penny Schofield from Swinburne University.
This research assistant position is grant-supported, and will primarily focus on the planning, coordination and collection of the PROs data. Other tasks that support the achievement of all pre-determined goals of the MRFF grant will also be required.
