About us

Established in 2006, headspace offers a ‘one stop shop’ for young people aged 12 -25 and their families who may be experiencing mental health difficulties. It provides an opportunity for young people to receive help early and promotes a 'no wrong door' approach to supporting young people and their families through the provision of GPs, counsellors, Alcohol & other Drug workers and Vocational and Educational support.

What will you be doing?

As the Senior Administration Officer, you will provide outstanding service to clients and administrative support to headspace clinical staff and private practitioners. The position is responsible for working with the practice manager and other administration staff to ensure the effective delivery of all administrative functions.

You will manage and further develop administration services at headspace Elsternwick and work collaboratively with the administration teams at the other Alfred headspace centres, including Bentleigh & Monash.

You will also be responsible for overseeing the daily administrative management of the Elsternwick team functions including rostering, scheduling of appointments, billing & accounts, allocation of tasks, medical records, day to day management of site.

What about you?

You'll bring your positive 'can-do' attitude and friendly, confidential customer service style, along with your previous experience in a health service setting that provides service to people with various mental health and social issues.

We'd also love it if you already have experience working with General Practice software (such as Zedmed), have been exposed to Medicare billing and know your way around the Microsoft Office suite. 

Before you become a part of our team, you'll also have to complete/provide a valid Victorian Working with Children Check, complete a background check, and also you'll require Australian working rights.
