DEPARTMENT:

Located in the Outpatients Program, the Telehealth Office is responsible for the implementation and support of telehealth across Alfred Health. Our primary objective is to enable patients in Specialist Consulting Clinics to receive care via videocall, regardless of location. The Office also supports telehealth in other settings across Alfred Health, including wards and home-based care

POSITION:

The Telehealth Officer will contribute to the successful implementation, delivery, and acceptance of telehealth initiatives across Alfred Health and partner sites. The aim of the role is to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved in telehealth interactions and support delivery of a reliable, high quality service.

 

The Telehealth Officer will contribute to a range of projects to promote telehealth services, support governance and continuous improvement initiatives, and introduce innovate telehealth models of care at Alfred Health. On a day-to-day basis, they will use excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills to support a range of stakeholders, including staff (clinicians and clerical teams), patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The role will also be responsible for coordination and administrative tasks associated with the implementation of telehealth services

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
  • Project support experience
  • Current Victorian drivers licence

Desirable

  • Degree qualification preferred
  • Experience with telehealth
  • Experience in the health sector
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with Alfred IT systems including Cerner Powerchart and Scheduling
  • Experience in development of resources in a range of media
