The Department
The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Centre (ANZIC-RC) is a major clinical research methods centre for Intensive Care in Australia and New Zealand based in the Monash School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at the Alfred Hospital campus. The centre is involved in the establishment of comprehensive research programs comprising surveys and pilot studies through to large multicentre clinical trials. The BONANZA Project Manager utilises, specialist knowledge to oversee and deliver high-quality clinical research services to support the operations of BONANZA randomized controlled trial. The Project Manager performs and oversees a range of significant and complex research activities that play a critical role in supporting the achievement of the trial’s outcomes. This includes managing, overseeing and undertaking tasks such as, data capture and cleaning, ethics amendments, and procedures, providing expert advice and training, operational planning, writing complex procedures and guidelines.
The Project Manager provides leadership to the trial in the delivery of high-level and professional research services and effective achievement of the trial’s priorities and provides expert advice at both strategic and operational levels. They will also work as part of the larger ANZIC RC team supporting peers and working collaboratively with others.
The clinical trial is already underway in Australia and Europe. This role has recently become available and you will be part of the BONANZA trial team. The project manager will work closely with the Irish Clinical Trials team.
Qualifications and Experience Required
The appointee will have:
- postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
- extensive experience and management expertise; or
- an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
This role would suit a candidate who wishes to continue to build on practical and theoretical clinical research skills.
