Senior Clinician Developmental Assessment and Management Program (DAMP)

  • Grade 3 Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Psychologist or Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 4
  • Permanent, Part-time (7 days per fortnight or 3.5 days per week)

Alfred Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS)

Alfred ICYAMHWS is one component of the Department of Mental & Addiction Health at Alfred Health. We are a community-based service providing comprehensive assessment, treatment and case management to infants, children, adolescents and young people up to the age of 25 years of age presenting with behavioural, emotional, psychiatric or developmental difficulties. 


This position sits in a multidisciplinary team in the Developmental Assessment and Management Program (DAMP), with in the Neurodevelopment Stream. As the DAMP Senior Clinician, you will provide senior clinical leadership to the developmental assessment program, case management, consultation, and a discipline specific role.

You will work with younger children, adolescents and families in a multi-disciplinary team and co-ordinate the DAMP assessment schedule. You will contribute to assessment, formulation and management from your discipline perspective, when a neurodevelopmental disorder such as Autism Spectrum Disorder is in question. The DAMP Senior will work collaboratively with the access and brief intervention team assisting with consultation and co-ordination of referrals that come into the service.


We welcome consideration from clinicians across disciplines including Grade 2s with experience working with children/youth with neuro-diverse presentations and co-occurring mental health disorders who are interested in stepping up into a clinical leadership role, or senior clinicians interested in this niche area.

  • Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for membership of AHPRA or AASW - please refer to the Position Description
