Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory, to inpatient and home and community based services.

The early postgraduate years are designed to provide exposure to your selected discipline without exam pressure and allow you to decide on a career pathway.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified HMOs who will be post graduate year 2 and/or 3 (PGY2 and/or 3) in 2022. Our range of rotations are available in Medicine, Surgery and Critical Care pathways to start in February 2023.

Rotations Include:


  • Alfred ED
  • Sandringham ED
  • Cardiothoracic
  • Neurosurgery
  • Trauma
  • Acute Brain injury/Rehab
  • Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Plastic Surgery
  • ICU (PGY3 only)


Due to the urgency to fill these positions, it is a key requirement for applicants to have a current medical registration with AHPRA and a valid visa that will enable you to work with no restrictions.
