We are a Department known for innovative models of care.  In 2023, we are launching further opportunity for APTs to contribute to the Acute Care@Home model of care and additional rotations in our Consultation and Peri-Operative Medicine service.  The full range of rotations in our program are:

  • CORE General Medicine rotations: The Alfred (high acuity), Caulfield Hospital, Cabrini
  • CORE General Medicine-related rotations: Consultation and Peri-Operative Medicine, Integrated Care (Care @ Home)- both at The Alfred and Sandringham Hospital

Flexible part-time training opportunities are available in our program.  We have a range of roster structures for part-time training that we can discuss with successful applicants.  Please indicate your interest in part-time training in your application cover letter.

Trainees participate in a professional development program to enhance skills in clinical leadership and this supports practice across all the roles in the program and particularly in the night clinical lead role.

All rotations meet the CORE training requirements of the RACP PREP Advanced Training curriculum in General and Acute Care Medicine.
