The Role

This position is established within the Hope Team, an arm of the Consultation Liaison & Emergency Psychiatry (CLE) Program. 

  • Hope is the Suicide Prevention team who provide 3 months’ intensive outreach psycho-social support and brief interventions to individuals post a suicide attempt or who have presented with serious suicidal ideation, planning or intent.
  • The Support Worker will work with a designated clinician and other members of a multidisciplinary team
  • You will work with clients to develop a Safety Plan and address the gaps in their lives in order to build resilience and confidence

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Hold a qualification in a health-related field or engaged in relevant studies
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence is essential.

Desirable

  • Other relevant qualifications (or working towards) in a relevant area such as drug and alcohol or psychosocial or therapeutic interventions.
  • Experience working with individuals in crisis or with mental health issues
