Hope - Clinician
Permanent - ongoing
Full-Time - 80 hours per fortnight including an ADO, some out of hours work
Classification - RPN Grade 3
Alfred Mental & Addiction Health is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.
The Hope team provides innovative care to individuals who present post a suicide attempt or with serious suicidal ideation, planning and intent.
Care is delivered via assertive outreach, clinic based sessions for brief therapeutic interventions, telephone and email. You will provide brief therapeutic interventions and assist clients to develop effective coping strategies, in turn building resilience.
In addition, along with Support Workers. you well help clients identify the gaps in their lives and support them to address these in order to enhance their quality of life. Facilitating engagement with health practitioners and relevant community services is also a crucial part of this role.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Registration with the Nurses’ Board Victoria through AHPRA.
Tertiary qualifications in mental health nursing – post graduate diploma equivalent as a minimum.
Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience
A current Victorian Driver’s License is essential
Relevant experience working in a community mental health team and working with individuals in crisis or with mental health issues
Other relevant qualifications or currently studying, such as drug and alcohol or psychosocial or therapeutic interventions.
