  • Staff Furlough Coordinator
  • Casual, up to 76 hours per fortnight
  • Fix term until 31/12/21

  • Location- Alfred

DEPARTMENT:

The OHS team is made up of three high performing work areas (Injury Management, Health and Safety, and Training) that work in collaboration to deliver an end-to end Health and Safety business partnering service across Alfred Health. 

 

POSITION:

Working as part of the OHS Team, each Staff Furlough Coordinator is designed to provide support and assistance to Alfred Health (AH) employees through furloughing process by providing valuable support across Alfred Health, contributing to a safe and productive workplace where staff are treated fairly and with respect. 

 

  • Arranging staff into Alfred Health Furlough Hotels and or Victorian Hotel Quarantine Program.
  • Providing information, guidance and support on options to resolve issues and explain choices to prevent issues before they reach escalation point 
  • Outlining Alfred Health policies, processes and principles.
  • Create awareness and promote the use of AH’s Employee Assistance Program 
  • Referring employees to AH’s key support services, both internally and externally (e.g., Employee Assistance Program (EAP)) 
  • Guiding them to explore other options, if they are not able to solve their issue or manage the situation  
  • Provide an empathetic listening ear 
  • Provide low level psychological intervention 
  • Promote a culture of early identification and intervention of mental health concerns 
  • Assist with COVID Advice line as required.
  • Undertake special projects or reports required by the Manager, OHS on a wide range of issues.

 

 

 

SKILLS

Essential

  • Resilience, the ability to learn quick partnered with strong problem-solving skills will set you up for success.
  • Computer literacy and skill, including the proficient use of the Office 365 application, as well as Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and understanding importance of excellent record keeping standards and safety KPIs.
  • High level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence and the ability to travel as required.
