The BES Unit is a busy specialist unit within the Department of General Surgery. The Unit specialises in Endocrine Surgery, and Breast Surgery. The unit consists of a fellow, registrar, HMO and intern supervised by experienced consultants, dedicated to teaching and research, and has a number of operating lists each week. This position will commence on 1st July, 2020. The fellow would expect to be exposed to a range of complex surgery and the position will also involve a substantial clinical workload in a dedicated outpatients and weekly multidisciplinary meetings. The successful applicant should expect to participate in the unit's active clinical research programs and initiate clinical/collaborative research studies. Applicants should hold, or expect to hold at the commencement of the fellowship, a FRACS or equivalent, and should be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
