About us

Alfred Mental & Addiction Health (AMAH) is responsible for the operation of services, which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.

The single most important goal of AMAH is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will work with a highly motivated multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the professional development of Consultation-Liaison & Emergency Alfred Psychiatry. You will collaborate with all senior clinical disciplines, lived experience leads and the workforce development team, to ensure workforce issues are managed and supported through practice development, education and training tailored to meet the needs of the department.

You will also take a lead in program planning and provision of education that contributes to the professional and practice development of EPS and CATT staff. 

About you

  • Post graduate in mental health or equivalent qualification
  • Eligibility for membership with relevant registering body (Occupational Therapy Board of Australia via AHPRA/Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW))
  • Recent experience working in public mental health service.
  • Experience in planning, implementing, facilitating and providing education and/or field mentoring
  • Australian working rights
  • Full Covid-19 and 2024 Influenza vaccination
  • Current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a Background Check
