  • Unique opportunity to work in a combined Cardiology and Cardiothoracic unit 
  • Permanent position, hours negotiable; 48 – 80hrs per fortnight
  • Registered Nurse Grade 2, $81,733.00- $99,127.00 per annum pro rata + superannuation

The Department 

3 West is a 36 bed Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery ward located at The Alfred Hospital. Our dynamic unit provides complex care to patients requiring a broad range of medical, interventional and surgical cardiac services. 3 West also provides specialist cardiac monitoring services for patients under the care of other medical and surgical specialty units.

As a Registered Nurse on 3 West, you will contribute to a culture of excellence in clinical care. You will build therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Your practice will reflect the core values of Alfred Health—patient-centered care, integrity, accountability, and respect.

Qualifications / Experiences 

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
  •  A minimum of 4 years’ post-registration experience (desirable)
  • Prior experience in cardiac or cardiothoracic nursing (highly desirable)
