An exciting opportunity has become available within the Clinical Governance Unit, Alfred Health.  This well supported role offers the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in clinical risk management.   We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic clinician committed to patient safety to join our team.

  • Permanent Full Time - 80 Hours (1.0 EFT)
  • Management and Administrative Grade 3 ($74k-$80k)

About the role

The Clinical Governance Unit (CGU) consists of three streams who work closely with each other and collaboratively with a range of Departments and Committees to support the implementation of the Clinical Governance Program across Alfred Health

To provide a range of administrative and data support functions to staff of the Clinical Governance Unit, contributing to the management of Alfred Health’s quality and safety data systems. This position reports to the Quality and Safety Data Systems Manager and the Deputy Director of Clinical Governance. This position will work closely with the Policy and Legislative Compliance Co-ordinator providing administrative support to implement Alfred Health’s Policy and Legislative Compliance Frameworks.  It will also support the administration of Alfred Health’s Enterprise Risk Register as well as support improvement projects related to and policy, legislation and contribute to Short notice assessment for accreditation (SNAP) readiness.  

Skills & Experience

  • Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams   

  • Experience in establishing and managing data systems, including online survey tools  

  • Experience in administration of the Riskman database, PROMPT or Cerner and other Clinical applications (desirable)
