On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

About the Role
Applications are invited for Specialists in Infant, Child, Youth and Headspace Psychiatry at Alfred Health. There will be two positions available.
- 1x Locum full time position to provide leave backfill from 2 February 2026 to 9 August 2026 - Inner South Sector Team.
- 1x Fractional Psychiatrist position to work 24 hours per week - Bentleigh CTT.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Our preferred candidate must possess the following experience and attributes:
- Be legally qualified practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- Fellow of the RANZCP
- Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Psychiatry
- Meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Psychiatry
- Outstanding communication skills, including well-developed conflict resolution skills
- Ability to liaise well with other staff at all levels
- Demonstrated flexibility in problem solving and the capability to develop and sustain highly collaborative relationships with others/ other teams.
