Program

You will be joining the Alfred Specialty Medicine team, an Alfred health Operational Program that offers a comprehensive range of specialist services including Rheumatology, Endocrinology & Diabetes, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Clinical Genetics & Genomics and Renal services. The Program services all three Alfred Health sites and has strong links with Monash University research. 

Role

You will work directly with the Program Director (PD) and Clinical Service Director (CSD) of Alfred Specialty Medicine to support high level executive assistant and administrative functions.  In this role you are the inital contact for Program enquiries for the PD & CSD, and will form form key relationships with senior leadership, Program stakeholders and clinical staff to assist Program leadership to provide exellence in patient centred care.

Skills and Experience Required

Essential

  • Post-School certificate in secretarial studies or equivalent
  • Experience in assistant and secretarial duties (e.g. multiple diary/time management skills) 
  • Experience in the use of databases and spread sheets (e.g. Excel, document storage)
  • Have appropriate training and competency in keyboard skills; be able to use suite of Microsoft Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint)
  • Have an interest in health and be willing to learn medical terminology.
  • Adaptable and enjoy fast-paced enviornment.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal 

Desirable

  • Diploma in Secretarial Skills /Business/Office.
  • Some experience at senior secretarial level preferred
  • Advanced skills in Office365 prodcutivity software
