The Role

The team at The Alfred Hospital is looking for someone with excellent customer service and patient focus to join their team. The Senior Ward Clerk in ICU will provide administrative support to the ICU nursing management team. In this role, the Senior Ward Clerk will be actively involved in the development of support and supervision of the Ward Clerk team. They will continually review and implement the administrative processes within the department, support ICU recruitment and assist the ICU Nursing managment team with basic administration. 

About You

Customer relations and excellent communication skills are essential to this role. You will ensure all patients, visitors and work colleagues and a variety of health professionals are provided with guidance and accurate information pertaining to the Intensive Care Unit. Experience as a ward clerk is essential and the successful applicant must have excellent clerical and computer skills and the ability to multitask is a core skill that is required. Completion of a medical terminology course or experience working with medical terminology would be favourable.
