The Department – Allied Health

Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) work collaboratively as part of effective teams alongside doctors, nurses and other professionals to provide holistic person-centred care. AHPs are qualified to provide interventions to optimise and maintain the physical, social and mental wellbeing of the community.

Position Summary

An exciting opportunity exists for an Allied Health professional to join the Allied Health Digital Health team and provide leadership within the Digital Health pillar of the Allied Health Professional Practice Framework.

This role will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to work with the Chief Allied Health Information Officer on a number of key strategic initiatives including, but not limited to, the:

  • Review and implementation of the digital health health strategy for Allied Health,
  • Coordination and monitoring of the Allied Health digital health workplan,
  • Coordination of the Allied Health digital health governance committee,
  • Design, testing and implementation of both clinical information systems and data systems across all current and emerging Allied Health services and models of care.
  • And many other opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications Required

Essential                 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health profession 
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent as appropriate, with adherence to continuing professional development requirements.                                    

Desirable                    

  • Relevant Post-Graduate Qualification in health, business or project management.
  • Previous experience working in a Clinical Informatics role (or equivalent experience).
