Alfred Mental and Addiction Health (AMAH) is responsible for the operation of services which focus on people with a severe mental illness residing in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne.
Services are provided by a number of teams located at the Alfred Hospital (Commercial Road, Prahran) and at St. Kilda Road Clinic, Aged Psychiatry at Caulfield, South Yarra PARC South Yarra, Alma Road CCU in St Kilda, and the Child & Adolescent Service located in Moorabbin.
This position will work across both Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) and Alma Road Community Care Unit (ARCC) services providing unique peer led lived experience, supporting recovery, planning and coping strategies that engage consumers in opportunities for meaningful community living with the incumbent working 0.4 on each site.
The PARC service model is a partnership between AMAH and ERMHA 365 providing sub-acute residential step up / step down treatment and support for up to 28 days to consumers within AMAH catchment area. AMAH provide the clinical component of the PARC Program and ERMHA 365 provide the on-site psychosocial support. ARCC provides a medium term residential rehabiltiaton program for 20 clients with 24 hour on site clinical support and case managment.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Certificate IV in Peer Work
Cert IV in Mental Health
Formal qualifications are not mandatory for this role but may be helpful.
