The Department

Ward F2 is a vibrant 20‑bed general medical ward, caring primarily for patients under the General Medicine service. Our unique circular layout—featuring 11 two‑bedded rooms and a centrally positioned nurses’ and administration hub - creates an environment designed for clear visibility, smooth communication, and seamless teamwork.

The Role

The Ward Clerk is an essential member of our team, ensuring the efficient coordination of communication, patient services, and clerical processes across the ward. Working closely with and under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Ward Clerk helps keep the ward running smoothly—supporting staff, patients, families, and external partners with professionalism and warmth.

This role is key to maintaining the ward’s workflow and upholding the highest standards of confidentiality, organisation, and service.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Experience: Previous administrative or reception experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hospital-specific patient information systems
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data entry and maintaining patient records
  • Compliance: Adherence to privacy legislation and confidentiality standards
