The Department

Alfred Care Group is seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Clinical Service Director – Alfred Specialty Medicine.

The Role

As the Director this role provides operational and strategic leadership and nursing leadership across the Speciality Medicine program, ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality, cost‑effective services for patients.

Working in close partnership with the Program Director, the Clinical Service Director is responsible for leading service performance across four key areas: patient safety and experience, financial and operational performance, workforce and systems management, and the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing practice integrated with medical, allied health and pharmacy services.

As a senior leader, the role contributes to organisational strategy, service improvement, clinical governance, and the successful delivery of Bayside Health’s objectives across the Alfred Care Group.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and a tertiary qualification in health care
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex multi-site clinical programs, preferably within the public health sector
  • A strong understanding of health service operations, clinical governance and contemporary service delivery models
  • Proven experience delivering services against agreed performance, quality and safety targets
  • Highly developed financial, operational and workforce management capability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change, influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with patients, clinicians, staff, executives, government and community stakeholders
