The Department
Alfred ICU is a university attached quaternary referral centre, providing State Service for heart and lung transplantation (including paediatric lung transplantation), artificial heart technology, extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), burns trauma and hyperbaric medicine. It also provides Victoria’s Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary Hyperextension Services.

The Intensive Care Unit is a state-of-the-art facility with 68 beds, funded to 61 equivalents, admitting more than 3,000 patients a year.

Skills
- Post Graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing (ICU)
- ICU experience in an acute hospital (aligned with the AHPRA registration requirements)
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Passionate about delivering outstanding patient-centred care
- A commitment to continuing professional development to advance nursing practice
