Administrative Support / PA

Respiratory Medicine, Physiology Service

About the role:

This role will focus on providing support to our Physiology service and duties will include, reception, greeting patients, creating appointments, answering phones, patient enquiries and other administrative duties as directed.   This role is also responsible for providing PA support to the Head of the Physiology Service. Experience working within a medical environment and familiarity with medical terminology will be highly regarded, however, applicants with strong customer service and administrative skills from other fields will also be considered.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Sound administrative experience - Hospital environment preferred but not essential 
  • Personable, with commitment to high quality service 
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency including MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel (foundational)
  • Understanding of confidentiality and privacy legislation
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Demonstrated ability to plan work flow, prioritise and delegate to meet deadlines.
