We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services. On 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will come together with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to create Bayside Health, a newly merged health service with more than 22,000 employees caring for a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The new health service will provide people with the best possible care with services that support them throughout their lives. The merger will also strengthen our workforce, providing new training, education and career opportunities. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, all employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health.

About the role

The Team Leader – Cloud Computing is responsible for leading a high-performing team focused on the design, implementation, and optimisation of cloud and on-premise infrastructure and services. This role ensures the organisation’s cloud environments are secure, scalable, costeffective, and aligned with industry best practices. A key focus of the role is driving cost optimisation, automation, and operational excellence across public, private, and hybrid cloud platforms. 

About you

• Proven experience in cloud engineering or architecture, with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud models.
• Expertise in cost optimisation tools and techniques (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).
• Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills.
